When it is about the high-rated ones - they play in kind of a closed pool of maybe 10 strong engines always against each other - rating inflated by the occasional game thrown in against a weaker opponent IMHO. I really recommend to not use the standard rating for the seeding again - or only as secondary information if nothing else is availlable. For example a seeding based on CCT3 performance would have made more sense if you look at the final result - not that I think the seeding influenced the final result much. When it is about Hiarcs I agree to your assessment that it is very strong and simply had a bad tournament. Regards, pete
