Click onto HELP >ABOUT FRITZ 7 and you will see a date Also, go into your engine folder, right click onto Fritz 7, select properties, and you will see a MODIFICATON DATE, then select the Version Tab, and you will see 7,0,0,1 The English Version has 7,0,0,2 which already includes the first engine upgrade. The first upgrade Chessbase offered on line did not seem to affect the engine, just the interface. The (NO MMX) engine you are referring to, is for non MMX Computers. You will see both in your engine folder. If you are running the Fritz 7 Program, the Fritz 7 Program will not recognize the (No MMX)engine and it will not show up in your engine window. However, if you are running the Fritz 6 or Deep Fritz interface, it will recognize both engines, and you will see both displayed in your engine window, and you can have the (No MMX) engine play against the Fritz 7 engine in an engine tournament if you like. There are now a number of 7,0,0,6 Upgrades floating around. Look at some of the past postings on this site.
