When I'm trying to understand someone else's code I fire up
SourceNavigator. http://sources.redhat.com/sourcenav/ It
actually "understands" various languages and not only does
easy things like syntax highlighting, it also can identify
global vars, function call hierarchy and C++ class hierarchy
as well.
