The problem with stock analysts are that they more often than not get outperformed by a chimpanzee throwing darts on The Wall Street Journal. That's a verifiable fact :) And the other thing is that they are not immune to influence. There is a well known incident where Intel browbeat a major firm from downgrading it's stock. And the buisness of stock analysts ist to make money from your transactions. I don't trust stockbrokers farther than I can throw them. Reading the raw numbers of the economic reports is essential.
