I have not looked at this because I use a commercial Database (CA+Email Service), but to check the quality you should look if a player is spelled differently in games and if there is many doubles. You will even find some of mine game in both Chessbase's and Chess Assistant's databases but I wouldn't say the quality goes down if it is easy to sort out the game you are looking for. I would rather say that the quality is poorer if you don't find the games you are listing, it could be exactly Mr. Appel I should play against tomorrow and would have a nearer look at. Odd Gunnar
