Is it possible that the fact that 7,0,0,6 found the move 0-0-0 a result of the
interface having the Castling feature repaired rather than the engine making the
difference?
Have you tried the 7,0,0,6 engine with the older Fritz 7 interface? Also, if you
still have a copy of the 7,0,0,2 engine, try using it in the upgraded interface
and see if it then finds the mate?
