As always, it depends. If you're the click-guy, then no, it won't. If you don't
mind programming w/o a colourful click-environment, it's a good option. And it's
free. And since Cygwin uses a port of gcc, you're sure that your modifications
most likely compile under other operating systems too. Of course it will take
some time to 'adjust' to such an environment like Cygwin, if you don't have any
Unix-background of some sort.
