I bet there are a lot more people using (read testing) Winboard. The only
difference is that no one tracks the number of downloads of Winboard, while
Frank tracks the number of Arena downloads by making people register.

Arena is free like Winboard, and registering is easy and free, I would have
expected more than 174 "testers".  The numbers are probably lower because
knowledge of Arena is probably limited to a few computer chess freaks..
