What seems to be strange is that using an identical Athlon 1.2 GHz I also get (8.9 sec and 618 KN/s) I only upgraded my Operating system to Win XP Pro. Plus my computer is a remanufactured from Gateway, they simply replaced a faulty memory, even thought it is NOT the fastest memory you can get, since it is not DDR. Probably Win XP is the fastest Operating system available. I bought this second computer for my wife Nancy since it was more economical than upgrading an old AMD K6-2 500 MHz that she was using. Here is the rest of the Specification of my Wife's P.C. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?sku=T152-1064
