I suspect that the only way not to use tablebase with Crafty under chessbase interface is simply to uninstall them. I know that in chessbase engines like Shredder5.32 there are 2 places when I can choose if to use tablebases or not to use tablebases(one in the search and one in the interface) The engine parameters tell me if to use tablebases in the search and this is the important parameter that is not available in Crafty. The interface parameters that are common for all the engines are pondering and tablebases and unticking tablebases only in the interface parameters can help only engines who do not know to use tablebases(like Junior5) not to cheat by using tablebases when the position is a tablebase position.
