I get the following after a night running:
[D]RNBQKBNR/PPPPPPPP/8/8/8/8/pppppppp/rnbqkbnr b - -

19 ply looked like a fail-high but no more patience for that.
It could be that the evaluation is off but that the computer is still hard to
beat by humans. I found old Crafty-list mail from Michel Langeveld saying that
he had much success with Crafty at Wild5:
---------------
Modification to let Crafty play Wild 5, 16-07-00
I already posted this on CCC. But maybe not everybody reads that. It's a
very small modifcation...
I registered a new Crafty on ICC called Wild5Crafty.
It hasn't lost a single time yet :-P. So which expert can let it flame.
Ofcourse Crafty's evaluation can be more optimized for Wild 5, but why
making things stronger if nobody can win already from this...
----------------------------------------------------------

"wild" command sets up an ICS wild position (only 7 at
present, but any can be added easily, except for those
that Crafty simply can't play (two kings, invisible
pieces, etc.)

----------------------------------------------------------
*/
else if (OptionMatch("wild",*args)) {
int i;
if (nargs < 2) {
printf("usage: wild <value>\n");
return(1);
}
i=atoi(args[1]);
switch (i) {
case 5:
strcpy(buffer,"setboard
RNBKQBNR/PPPPPPPP/8/8/8/8/pppppppp/rnbkqbnr w");
(void) Option(tree);
break;
case 7:
strcpy(buffer,"setboard 4k/5ppp/////PPP/3K/ w");
(void) Option(tree);
break;
default:
printf("sorry, only wild5 and wild7 implemented at present\n");
break;
}
}
-------------------
Incidently, about the "strongest Crafty", 16.19 (Not on the mysteriousy
reinstated Chessbase engines list though) did well at blitz according to ICC
people on the Crafty-list and in later versions Dr. Hyatt concentrated more on
longer timecontrols.
