I think that it would not be unreasonable to expect one rating point increase
per four hours spent training chess. (I seem to remember Nunn mentioning that
Hebden figured that number to be correct in 'Secrets of Practical
Chess')Naturally it levels off at some point. And needs to be reinforced in
other ways.
