The point is not focusing on tactics, the point that I do not like is the complete disregard on analysis, the lack of method of thinking (what he propose is a joke) and ignoring absolutely the importance of studying endgames and middlegames _even_ in the future. He propose how to become good at "short" tactics to take advantage of opponent's blunders. That does not mean that you become good at tactics! It is ok to concentrate for a period of time on one issue. For instance, spend 3 months on solving puzzles, whatever. But that cannot be all. As soon as you fix your worst weakness, another must show up and you have to fix that one. He even recognize at one point that the lack a method of thinking and he think that found one that satisfies him. Regards, Miguel > >/David
