Some said it was the greatest, others said it was a "toy", because it lacked some analysis features (which are now included 2x in CM8k). But it either refers rudely to some peoples belief it is a poor program. Or it refers politely that all it's features & training & opponents are Good for a developing person to learn their chess. (or it might refer to an Alleged personality - a drug addicted prostitute who offers to tutor you on the Maroczy bind in return for heroin - secretly hidden away in the depths of CM7k, which got giggles from the boys of CCC in 1999) "they are practically giving it away..." Probably refers to the fact that CM8k costs about 50% of other main programs.
