I agree. Although like it I guess it's fairly known that I'm a CM fan. Only release I didn't like much was CM7K as it had the CM6k engine but you weren't able to change the hash size. All the things complained about with CM6K never really bothered me much, lack or analysis was the biggest issue but wasn't something that would make me dislike it. Seems even now with the latest Fritz allowing for the modification of engine parameters, some are trying to duplicate some of the CM's appeal. When you see the amount of posts here by people with modified CM personalities it's clear that CM does have a mass following. I doubt you will see many modified Fritz settings, but wait for CM9K and you'll see dozens. >I was simply being facitious (sp?), imitating the methods of the Kiddies who >fought so hard to defend their favourite chess toy. > > >>The CM8K is clearly better in terms of it's features which again AFAIK >>was what the reference "toy" was about. > >Agreed >> >>Not trying to defend his comments but one last AFAIK >>he is CANADIAN !! > >I have generally found that being Canadian is a Good thing. At least that was the first time I ever saw it. Sarah.
