Are you sure, that you checked this in the case of Yace? Yace will only learn in
games started from the initial position, and not in games setup by a FEN.
Perhaps this is not optimal. The idea to disable learning in setup position was
to get reproducable results in Nunn type matches ...

Anyway, positional learning often cannot help. But sometimes it can - I have
also verified this.
