It seems that winboard does not care about the en passant value.
It will alow an en passant capture as long as there are two pawns in
the right position anyway. It will even alow an en passant capture in
the following position where the last move couldn't have been d7-d5:
[D]rn1qkbnr/pp1bpppp/8/2ppP3/5P2/8/PPPP2PP/RNBQKBNR w KQkq - 0 4
