Shredder 2.0 finds 1.Bh6 instantly and sticks with it. So do Patzer, taking a couple of seconds to come up with Bh6, and Crafty 14_3, which opts for Bh6 right off. The most interesting of the programs I tried was Comet, the latest experimental version -- the time control was 10 min per game and it decided to play Rxe6, regardless of what happens... Evals: -0.32, predicting Qa5!! Thus, Uli must have done something similar to Ed's anti-GM style. Nice. BTW, both Patzer and Comet play rather recklessly at times, which I just love, just as do the new Crafties, I hear. A new vogue? Anticipating GMs as opponents? Will try my other programs later on and see what they think... These were handy with their epd-support... Regards, Djordje
