I have already suggested #2 to ICD after the BadTrans virus problems. That virus
was able to read email adresses out of the browser cache (that's why many of you
got virus mail from CCC people you never had email contact with before).

So I think it is obvious *not* to display email addresses in the *standard
postings*.

In addition to that, I suggest that the *profiles* should have an *option to
hide* the email address there as well.

Another (more complicated) idea would be, that the email address in the profile
are hidden automatically from new users, i.e. before 3 or 6 month membership,
but are accessible for long term members after that time. But this is probably
too complicated.
