The symptoms your mention suggests that your current heatsink/fan combination is
not removing enough heat from the cpu.  Amd cpus put out a tremendous amount of
heat, and the heatsink and fan combination that usually come with the computers
is rarely adequate for the job.

GLobalwin or thermalright make very good heatsinks for your cpu.
