No i did not do that, this is part of the Crafty test, to try and see if there is a difference in strength between 17.14 and 18.13. Crafty 17.14 was the winner in the previous test run by Pavel and i said that i did not think that the best way to find the strongest version of Crafty was not to let the different versions play eachother, so i said that i would run whatever version that topped Pavels list against the current version. The purpose of this test is not to see how well one version will do against a set of opponents, but to let the two versions match the same opponents under the exact same conditions. Crafty 17.14 has already played Shredder 6_Dual under the same conditions, the remainder of the games from Crafty 18.13 will be ponder=on as was the case with Crafty 17.14. They are both to play the top 5 on my list and Shredder 6_Dual happens to be #5 and therefore they both met Shredder 6_Dual under the same conditions, afterwards i will of course compare results to see which version did best overall.
