I disagree, _don't_ believe the profiler, believe in real life results. If your
program runs faster on the second alternative, then it is faster. There are som
many stupid things that affect the final speed of a program that nowadays I only
believe my own judgement. If I make a modification which _should_ be faster and
my program runs slower (and the profiler shows whatever) I will use the
modification and hopefully later on when I modify the code more, these
misalignement/scheduling/pipeing/zipping/zapping problems will fade away...
