I have already agreed with you that it would take (at least) several hours for a computer to see the whole win from the original position. I will let Fritz 7b run overnight and post tomorrow what it sees. But in the meantime I thought the position after move 3 was a (different but) decent test that most, if not all, top programs should be able to solve in under 10 minutes on modern hardware, so I started the ball rolling on that one. I also think the position after move 2 may be solvable in under an hour.
