Results games round 53:
- TheKing312X vs ChessTiger14 = 1-0
- Junior7 vs Shredder6 = 0-1
- Fritz7002 vs Hiarcs732 = 1/2
In a Sicilian Defence TheKing312X having the White pieces demonstrated a model
kingside attack. To avoid a quick loss, ChessTiger14 was forced to give up a
piece and to exchange queens, but to receive a hopeless endgame.
We had to wait for a long time to see a typical winning game of Shredder6. This
time however, it was the German program to get the better end game. And since
Junior7 missed the best move 29.Bxc4, the game went - despite a very tough
defence - lost for Junior7.
At first glance it seemed that Fritz7002 would quickly succeed with his kingside
attack. But Hiarcs732 managed somehow to hold the position. And the fascinating
game eventually ended with a draw by perpetual check.
