I know how they do it.

10h: Mr.Frederic Friedel, boss of ChessBase, publisher =boss of CSS wakes up in
the morning. he gets a telephone call from Matthias Wuellenweber.
"Hey - Fred, we sell many Fritz units this month, the 1st rank in the ssdf-list
was worth all the preparations and negotiations we have done. I am sure we have
50 % of the market since Genius is no more a concurrent. "

Friedel: "Really - hm. I think you are right."

Later, 12h, Frederic sits down behind his PC and types:
Fritz5 50%
...
...

So - the company writes their own statistics, and publish them in their own
newsmagazin. It is THE SAME PERSON !

And the intention ? If somebody reads it, he thinks:
wow - 50% have bought this product. And I don't have it !
I need it. This magazine says it. This was the fourth positive euphoric
article about Fritz. It cannot be weak !

And customer-lemming #52335498 buys fritz.

Thats "journalism" ! "Neutral" "journalists" publish "facts".

Impressive.
