I forget to answer about the beta-testing.
I just start looking at this protocol the last days so I don't think I'm the
right man to betatest the UCI-support. I think this must be done by someone who
also own the Shredder GUI to have a possibility to sort out if it is the GUI or
the engine that is wrong.
If I should present me as a betatester just to betatest my adapter I think it
would be a little unfair to the Arena author.

If you go back a little you would see that I was talking about my engine and
engine where the author don't have time to make the engine uci-compatible.
But after a little look at the protocol now I think it's preferable to use
Winboard if the engine support both too.
