I already wrote my message but later lost it. Something with my server. My branching factor without hash was: 6.6, 5.81, 4.77, 5.16, 3.75, 3.67. Branching started to count from 4 moves (0.27 sec, 1.81 sec, 10 sec, 50 sec, 4 min 19 sec, 59 min 47 sec) and ended with 10 moves. Eleven mine found only by selective. Could be long for brute force. Selective took in 11, in 13 sec. Celeron 600Mhz. >As often with your positions, my "anti" heuristics works great: in 67.22% >of the cases the defender mates the attacker (in 1). I tried to put here position with easy branching. Position that I expected to put initially here not responded this night even after 8 hours of search, in 9 moves depth. Last position (that I not presented) was even shorter. It was solved in 10 moves by selective. Cheers, Leonid. >Cheers, >Heiner
