If you have windows 98, go to start, on the lower lefthand corner, then program,
accessories, then system tool; click on system tools; click on system
information, then click on tools, and file check.  Windows will check to see if
any windows file is corrupted; if so, have your windows cd handy.

If you have windows xp, then click on start, run, and type   sfc.  Hit enter.
