Subject: Problem playing chess online..please help?

I am accessing internet through LAN with proxy and firewall. Is anybody can help
me how to play chess online (chess server) with this setting. I can access
chess.net through telnet but not sure whether I can use better interface for
example Winboard to access chess server.
