I got crafty to compile on OSX with Apple compiler. Few small problems with variables ... who knows, maybe I'm using a modified copy of the source code. Also some include directories needed #ifdef OSX ... Many problems in the EPD stuff ... :-/ Turned off epd from compile and link. No special optimizations. Just the plain vanila build options -O2. Not everything seems correct, but crafty plays fine. Total nodes: 93829856 Raw nodes per second: 0 Total elapsed time: 266 SMP time-to-ply measurement: 2.406015 White(1): perf generated 20000000 moves, time=2.99 seconds generated 6688963 moves per second generated/made/unmade 20000000 moves, time=11.66 seconds generated/made/unmade 1715265 moves per second White(1): .... No idea how to interpret these numbers. I would like to go for SMP compile, however, -DSMP alone has problems. Perhaps this weekend, might convert one or two functions to Altivec. regards. hristo
