It certainly will be interesting. It will certainly be a lot stronger than me
which is all I really care about. I agree the original Gameboy program was weak,
however I would attribute this only to the very slow Z80 processor rather than
the program itself. Of all my dedicated machines up to around 2000 ELO, the
humble Chessmaster for Gameboy (imo) plays by far the best positional chess and
human like game of the lot. I think the mere 100 odd nodes per second processing
speed of the original Gameboy program is the primary reason for it's weakness.
Most programs are playing many, many times faster than this. When I want an
enjoyable game of chess, I'm still happy to play against the humble Gameboy. I
would have loved to see the original Gameboy program simply ported to the
Gameboy Advance. I feel this would then be a very strong program reminiscent in
playing style to the Mephisto Montreaux.
