This is a far worse scenario. You cannot do as proposed, a previous version of windows won't take. Unless you do an install on a new partition, but maybe the bootloader won't allow that. Then you need to use some other FDISK utility. I don't know, since I dont intend to use XP. The REG magic seems necessary. MvH Dan Andersson
