Whooo... I've solved the problem now, but the solution still leaves plenty of questions open. I checked my video driver, and I saw that a 16-bit colour resolution was selected. Weird. I don't remember changing it, but I changed it back to true colour (32-bit) and guess what? Fritz 7 worked perfectly. I tried 16-bit resolution again, and Fritz 7 crashed again. I don't understand this... Fritz 7 ought to work in 16-bit resolution, but it doesn't, not on my computer, at least. My PC is a Pentium III 733, 512 MB, I use Windows 98, I have a Voodoo 3 graphics card.
