I only wish I could come in person, but I think the travel and accomodation costs would probably be too much for me. Pity, cos it sounds like it would be a gas - I would be very interested to meet others involved in chess programming. Until now the only contact I have ever had with other chess programmers has been through CCC, and as I am not a proffessional programmer, I do not tend to meet people in the computer world much. I wish you every success in getting it off the ground. I think the idea of free entry/no prizes is good: that way you encourage more entries. The only drawback might be to discourage some of the top strength competitors out for a financial killing, but there are many non-commercial/experimental programs around. Dr Torsten Schoop is currently organising a chess computer tournament in Hamburg, and he has had plenty of entries. Good luck, Roberto
