The Fidelity Gambit was only a 4K program and had a small but useful openings
library. It was very similar to the Fidelity Classic, the main difference being
the style of the housings used. It was certainly in no way comparable to the
Excellence which played at least two or three classes stronger.

I would say in general that the machine often played plausible moves but the
tiny program and modest hardware meant that it was really only a novice level
machine. Even early Scysis machines like Sensor Chess (1982) and Companion II
(1983) would have been somewhat stronger.

The best 4K program would probably be the one that found it's way into the
Mephisto Junior and Mephisto Mini products from the 1980's.
