Hello !
After 15 days of rest (15-30 January - I was ill by flou) here I am !
Many news from the community. Lets see !
Lets start from the debate on the best chess protocol. UCI or Winboard
Protocol ? Which is the best and why ? I don't think there is a straight
answer. Each one has its advantages and disadvantages. Each one has some
unique features which satisfy specific needs. Next week the Digichess
Network team will write an article on these two protocols.
Take a look at the last SSDF Rating list ( 2002-02-15 release ). Shredder
6.0 is the leader with 2715 points ! There are 3 programs following above
the 2700 points barrier ! I believe that the quality of today's chess
programs is better than ever before.
As you have noticed a new section is now available in this newsletter.
Its name is Forums and you can be informed for the latest news and get
some tips from the experts !
I need partners to help me . If you have the time and the will I would
appreciate if you help me with any section of this news letter. Thanks
