I don't think this matters to the actual anaysis. The same happens with Rebel Century after many hours. 2hr32min for the 21st ply. I find often that when one ply cuts short the PV line, (here Tiger no longer has "confidence" in Bf3 Qc1.... or any other extension), that the next ply will most likely show a long PV line again, and that line will likely have some extension other than Bf3 Qc1.... Also it will take a longer than expected time to reach the next ply, due to the "indecision" about Bf3 Qc1.... If I saw your situation (the shortenened PV line) on my Tiger after 2hr35min I would expect the next ply to be reached at around 12 to 15 hours (a x5 or x6 time factor), and rather than wait that long, I would probably force the moves Qe3 Qxd6 Re8 h4 h5 and analyse to at least ply 19 to improve my assesment of the position by Tiger. I reassert, this is only my impressions about time taken in deep analysis. Tina Long
