I don't know why I try things like this, but I'd like to know why this happens. I set Fritz 7's search depth to 1 (which I assume means 1 ply, but I could be wrong), and I repeated the search several times. Each time it played a completely different move. Shouldn't the program choose the same move for the same search depth on the same position? Anyone know why Fritz played different moves? Russell
