No problem Terry.   I appreciate and find your comments quite interesting.

To me, if you want a "really strong" handheld the choice is clear.  Just follow
these steps:

  1.  Forget about dedicated units and buy yourself a Palm or PocketPC.

  2.  Buy a nice handheld chess program.  Personally, I'd limit myself to
      either ChessGenius (Palm or PocketPC) or Chess Tiger (Palm based only
      for handhelds at this time).

No dedicated handheld chess computer can come close to what you can get with a
Palm or PocketPC and a good chess program.  The "general purpose" Palm and
PocketPC computers have better screens and more strength than any dedicated
handheld.
