When Ed has: * put so much at risk * organised a compelling competition * produced the best result for a single processor machine ever by a MASSIVE margin it is churlish to complain - so let me state EMPHATICALLY that I am proud of what Ed has achieved. My personal feelings are that, stunning as this result was, it wasn't quite what I wanted. Drawing 1 of the 2 games with black would have created the victory - which is what I really wanted. The frustrating thing is the niggling feeling that different programs would have made better move choices at decisive moments, and might have held one of the games. However - they might also have missed some winning moves in one of the won games - one just doesn't know. The good news for our sport/hobby/pursuit: the milestone of decisively beating a super GM with a micro in a match at tournament controls is still there for the taking - but can our nerves withstand another day like today??? -g
