What are the differences in the calculations then? I thought the Glicko system was used for all of them. I do have the source code for FICS and have not noticed any changes to the algorithm when performing the computations for different time controls. Of course, slower chess is prettier to look at. But (by a monumental, astronomical figure) most people prefer blitz.
