Subject: CM_Brain vs. Nimzo2000b, 7.0-5.0

After quite promising results in it's first two matches,
see http://www.icdchess.com/forums/1/message.shtml?214915
(6-6 against Yace, 7.5-4.5 against Crafty), my personality settings "CM_Brain"
scored the first win against a profi engine in an overnight engine match.
Conditions were 40 moves in 20 minutes, ponder off on P3/700 MHz, in the
Chessmaster 8000 GUI:

2 WB-Nimzo 2000b 1½001½001½0½ 5.0/12

CM_Brain *could* be +60 elo stronger than Nimzo2000b (which btw. was using it's
own book, which is much larger than CM8000.OBK) under these conditions.

SSDF results for comparison:
Chessmaster 8000 128MB K6-2 450 vs. Nimzo99 K6450, 15.5-15.5
Chessmaster 6000 64MB P200 MMX vs. Nimzo98 P200X, 5-5

In the games of the match against WBNimzo, I noticed some things (which are
probably not only CM_Brain-specific, but maybe (?) generally typical for The
King):

1. Successful handling of passed pawns. In *all* it's 5 won games, passed pawns
on the queenside were involved and decisive. Additionally, in one game where
CM_Brain was a piece down, he could save a draw with a queenside passer.
2. In two games, The King (not the book) "morphy-like" sacrificed two pawns in a
row during the opening, for better developement. One win, one loss.
3. 0.5 points were lost in an KR-KRP endgame, which was a theoretical draw (so
the endgame database told me). Nimzo2000b, also not using TBS., played that
endgame nearly perfect.
