Subject: Building a dual for chess, which way to go???

I'm thinking of buying or building a dual processor machine. Any help would be
appreciated. I am thinking of Intel or AMD but am not sure which way to go. I am
not sure what processor is stronger for just chess. I know AMD edges out Intel
in some Apps but chess is another story. The amount of memory would also be
helpful, as I don’t want to waste my money buying too much memory.
The tax man has been very, very good to me this year :-)
