I think I was answering for the _wrong_ position.  I was recalling the
position where Crafty liked Bf8, and van Wely played Rxf3 instead.  At
that point, Bf8 was +2 (for white) and Rxf3 went to +5 instantly...

In this position, crafty says white is better by roughly +.5, but nothing
near to the scores for the position I thought was being discussed but which
was wrong here...
