Thanks for that interesting link Dann, I plan to have a good read when I get
home.

I had a look at the IA-64 architecture a while back, and I was pretty
disappointed.  It looks overly complex to me, I'm prepared to predict that its
going to be a massive failure.  If this thing is the future of computing we are
in for a sad time!

I bet the folks at AMD are loving this.  Intel bets its future on a chip based
around technology that has largely been tried and found to be not very wonderful
(VLIW/EPIC, Register Windows or whatever Intel marketing calls it).
