Hello Jerry,
The only thing I can tell you is that everything Chessbase produces has many
bugs.  Their handling of databases is no exception.  It is possible that you
have less than 4 games by the players whose name is misspelled.  Maybe you can
correct the spelling so that they are all uniform.  I also think you will find
if you do a search for the mispelled names it doesn't work very well (more
bugs).  Sorry I can't be more helpful.
