you didnt understand the article, it's always white to move. the article is
about two players playing this position against each other, and reversing
colors.

hmm, in that variation you are not playing Ng6 :-)

the point is that white gets into a knight-pawn ending, which ree claims to be a
draw on chesscafe. so of course crafty gives +2.5 because it's got an extra
knight, but no win...
in chessmaster's variation, after 6.Nxf7 Kc7 he gives

the whole solution he gives is 29 moves from the starting position. maybe you
