Program exception
Type: access violation
Address 00B1ECD9
While playing over a variation on the variation board with the VCR buttons, at
the end of the line one of the pieces mysteriously disappeared from the board,
giving the above error message. It was fatal to the Fritz 7 GUI, but not to my
system.

But that is a rare exception, and it has only happened once. It usually works
fine.

However, I remain convinced that there is a bug in the way Fritz 7 handles the
Queen during active Queen-play on a fairly open board. I see it making weak
moves time and time again. It must be a bug. They're not outright blunders like
with the first Fritz 7 version, which refused to capture opponent's Queen or
gave away its own Queen, but still some very weak moves. It is not calculating
variations correctly when the Queen is actively involved, IMHO.
