Ed I understand your frustration, with Jouni Uski's post. He either missed the
point or was trying to get your "Goat", I'm not sure which?

It's true GM's make mistakes, mistakes in some cases a computer could _never_
make!

However, I think it's a bit premature and possibly misleading to state
categorically that today's programmes are above 2700+!

Too many GM's have vanquished computers, ICC has GM's winning as well as losing
to top software on top hardware. It's still not too surprising non-GM's like
myself have won games against computers. Albiet it's no catwalk today!

You're correct that anti-computer play, is still a problem, but even resolving
this issue will not guarantee success against top GM's, at least not all the
time.

I'm not taking sides with anyone here, I believe Dr. Hyatt may be too critical
but on the other hand is trying to maintain scientific objectivity IMO.

Please don't misunderstand me, I have the utmost respect for you, and your Rebel
programmes with RC4 bieng the Most Impressive to date! Great Job!

Please keep up the good work, and consider even having at least one more GM
Challenge before you "hang your hat" as it were.

Kind Regards,
 Terry McCracken
