Okay I've just tried 2. The one pointed to on the archive page, and this one
http://www.wbholmes.de/cccreader/cccreadere.htm.

Of the two, the latter one by Andreas Herrmann seems to have a lot more
features.(Download through ftp,import messages in zipped form,extract email
altough that can be used for spamming and of course filters,search
engines,showing of diagrams etc)

But right now, I can't judge, if they work, since you need to register
to get access to most of the filters.

Registration is free for private users, I'm just waiting for Andreas to get back
to me through email.

As for speed and stability I don't really know cos I only downloaded the
messages after 1 Jan 2001, so speed isn't a problem usually.
